1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Michael MückeLabbéstr. 18
41169 Mönchengladbach
E-mail: [email protected]
Further details can be found in the legal notice.
2. Overview
This website is deliberately designed to be data-minimal. We use no cookies, no analytics or tracking services, no advertising networks, and we do not embed any third-party content (videos, plug-ins, social media buttons, etc.) directly into the site. Fonts are served locally (self-hosted), so no data is transmitted to Google Fonts or similar services.
Personal data is only processed to the extent strictly necessary for the technical delivery of the site. This essentially concerns server log data that is generated at the hosting provider (see section 3).
3. Hosting & server log data
The website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you access the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary access data in order to display the site and protect it from abuse. This typically includes:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- URL or file name requested
- amount of data transferred and HTTP status code
- user-agent and referrer information transmitted
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure, stable and efficient provision of the website).
Transfer to third countries: Cloudflare is a US provider with global infrastructure. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF); additionally, standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) are in place. Details on data processing by Cloudflare: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Retention period: log data is processed by Cloudflare in accordance with their specifications and deleted regularly as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of delivery and security.
4. Cookies, local storage & on-device storage
This site does not set any cookies and does not use any analytics, marketing, or tracking techniques.
The only exception is a strictly necessary entry in your browser's
local storage called aelivian.lang. This
entry is stored only when you actively use the language toggle
(DE/EN), and exists solely to respect your chosen language on future
visits. It contains only the value de or en — no
personal data, no identifier, no timestamp.
Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TTDSG (strictly necessary to provide the service you explicitly requested — your language selection). Consent is therefore not required, which is why no cookie banner or consent dialog is displayed.
Deletion: you can remove the entry at any time by clearing the site data for this domain in your browser settings.
Additionally, on the first visit the page reads your browser's preferred
language (navigator.language) once in order to optionally
redirect you to the German version. This information is
not stored and not transmitted to us or any third party.
5. Fonts
We use the typefaces Inter and Cormorant Garamond. These are loaded exclusively from this website's own server (self-hosted via Fontsource). No connection is made to third-party servers (e.g. Google Fonts).
6. External links
The bio page contains links to external services (e.g. streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, as well as social media profiles and e-mail contact). When you click such a link, you are redirected to the respective service. We have no influence on their data processing. Please refer to the privacy information of the respective providers.
Important: these links are not loaded automatically when the page is accessed — they are only activated when you actively click on them. Consequently, no data is transmitted to these services as long as you do not click anything.
7. Contact by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, the data you transmit (in particular your e-mail address as well as the content and subject of the message) will be stored by us in order to process your request.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (implementation of pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your request).
Retention period: until your request has been processed, or for as long as statutory retention periods (e.g. under commercial or tax law) require.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights at any time:
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
An informal e-mail to the address above is sufficient to exercise these rights.
9. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other legal remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is generally the one at your usual place of residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. A list of supervisory authorities in Germany is available on the website of the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI).
10. Changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements, or to reflect changes to our services (e.g. the introduction of new features). The version in force at the time of your next visit will apply.
